Happy New Year, Spread Eagle!
We are writing to provide a progress update on our transition toward becoming the Town of Spread Eagle. Our goal remains keeping every resident informed as we move through this process together.
Petition Timeline
As noted in our previous update, the formal signature collection process is now scheduled to begin in April 2026. At that time, we will begin actively canvassing the proposed town area to gather signatures and answer your questions regarding the transition, including details on the budget and essential services.
Budget & Planning
We are currently refining our budget by securing competitive bids and identifying resources to ensure a seamless transition. By utilizing the current Town of Florence budget as a baseline, we have developed an in-depth financial plan designed to mitigate unforeseen expenses and ensure fiscal responsibility. This detailed budget is available for your review on the official town website.
